Inspired by the immunology and social studies research carried out by the University of Edinburgh and the University of Zimbabwe. The film focuses on an attempt to curb the spread of diseases through a variety of simple tools. Researchers tried to encourage the community to build toilets where they were not any. There was an unexpected resistance to the project – women treated the space of a walk to the bush or the river bank where they would relieve themselves as a special space for intimate personal communications with each other, a space where men would not interfere. There was therefore a resistance in getting rid of that space.
