The Visible World

  • Run time: 6 min
  • Premiere: 2016. January 1.

"The Visible World is an ongoing extraction of 'softness' from different time intervals and milieus. [Using invocations with an automated voice of translations of lines assembled from Tablazon's great grandfather's komedya Principe Baldovino (ca. 1936), fragments from Roland Barthes, the correspondence between his half-sibling parents, and most extensively, a love letter from another boy,] the video maps out a world through kinship zones of im/material subjects in collaboration, translation, adaptation, correspondence, and conversion" (Renan Laru-an, curator).
